By Road
From London and the north east take the M3 - M27 - A31 - A338 route to Bournemouth.
You now have a choice of two routes to take, either round Poole harbour on the A35 and then onto Wareham via the A351 into Swanage.
The alternative is to take the more picturesque route via the Sandbanks Ferry. The ferry runs from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m every day and currently costs £2.80 each way for a car. However, during the summer months, especially mornings, queues mean it may be quicker for you to take the route via Wareham.
By Rail
The nearest station is at Wareham, which is two hours from Waterloo. For other routes we advise you to go via Southampton. There is a regular bus service from Wareham to Swanage and you need to take the 142, 143 or 144 bus.
From Studland
Drive into Swanage along the seafront, pass the Mowlem Theatre on your left. After a further 200 meters the road forks, take the right fork and you will pass Lloyds Bank on your left, take the left hand fork at this point and pass the Red Lion, Purbeck House Hotel and Arkwrights on your left. Take the next left (before the Black Swan) into Townsend Road, at the cusp of the hill where the road veers sharply left go straight head over the road and we are the first turing on the right.
From Wareham
Drive through Corfe Castle and Harmans Cross into Swanage. Go as far as the seafront and turn right then follow the above instructions.
