Adventure Learning Member
The Adventure Learning Membership scheme is a brand new initiative to support you in the development of your school’s Adventure Learning.
We recognise that schools are under increasing pressure to get more performance from tighter budgets, and so we have devised the Adventure Learning scheme that aims to generate the best possible school improvement outcomes from your involvement with Wide Horizons.
Key features and benefits
Becoming an Adventure Learning Member school will provide your school with a range of benefits.
Association with Wide Horizons and Adventure Learning |
We’ll provide your school with all the resources necessary to demonstrate and promote your school’s commitment to Adventure Learning to parents, inspectors and other interested parties.
We’ll provide you with a logo for your website, letter heads or any other promotional material. |
CPD and Networking |
Your staff will be invited to one CPD day a term delivered on a range of subjects designed to introduce new teaching techniques for the outdoors.
You’ll receive one twilight session a term for teachers passionate about Adventure Learning to share best practice, discuss common issues and meet other like-minded teaching professionals. |
Discounts on our services |
Your school will receive a 5% discount on all school visits and 10% off our fees for adult training/CPD/Inset. |
Wide Horizons and Atlantic Communications
We’re always looking for creative ways of funding Adventure Learning for schools and so we have teamed up with global energy and communications company, Atlantic Communications. As part of their support for our membership scheme, they have guaranteed to save your school 10% on IT, communications or energy costs. You don’t need to spend that saving with Wide Horizons, but some of it could be used to pay for your membership. We’ll email you with the details of this, or please see our website.
How to join
To become an Adventure Learning Member school costs just £1000 per year, payable on joining this year and renewed (with your permission) every September thereafter.
New pricing Structure
From the 1st September 2015, we are introducing a new pricing structure for all schools, based on the level of disadvantage (using Free School Meals (FSM) as an indicator). Below are our price increases:
FSM % | >15 | 0 to 15 | 0 |
Price increase | 8% | 15% | 30% |
New winter season rate
Alongside our new pricing structure, we have also introduced a new winter season rate, which will see our new prices reduced by over 20% between November and March. We have also removed the subsidy for schools within certain boroughs, which means your school benefits by around 10% on previous prices.
Please get in touch if you have any more questions.
