Free Family Fun Day Saturday 23rd June 2018

Thanks to everyone who came to the Family Fun Day on Saturday. We hope you enjoyed the event. Following the success of the 2017 event, Wide Horizons Environment Centre, Eltham will once again be opening its gates in 2018 for our annual charity free Family Fun Day.

Our nine-acre wildlife site at 77 Bexley Road, Eltham, is a hidden gem in South-East London with an abundance of meadows, ponds and woodlands to explore.

The centre will be open between 11am and 3.30pm and there will be lots of exciting activities for children aged 5-11 and adults. Attractions are likely to include a Gruffalo Hunt, Minibeast hunting, Pond dipping, Eco art, Fire Making, Story telling, Orienteering, Badger SetBee presentation, our Kunekune Pigs, a Climbing wall and the chance to get up-close with some Creepy Crawlies in our animal encounters! Not forgetting our Jurassic Dig Site.

You will be able to spend the day experiencing the many mini adventures around the site, or just relax and enjoy a picnic, ice cream, cakes and drinks in the beautiful Environment Centre grounds.

The Family Fun Day also celebrates the end of our Green City Challenge – our brand new day time adventure where you can walk or run a marathon, half marathon or 5 miles walk around South East London. Find out more and register here.

(Some items will include a small charge, while donations are also welcome.)

Entry to the Family Fun Day is completely free, and there’ll be something for the whole family to enjoy!
