Young people aged 10-12 have the opportunity to take part in a thrilling five day adventure! With activities including climbing, archery, bush craft and much more. This action-packed week of adventure will help your child to make new friends, step up to new challenges and grow in confidence!

This programme is COMPLETELY FREE thanks to the support of The Peter and Teresa Harris Charitable Trust and L&Q Housing Association.

This incredible five day adventure programme will be led by an award winning, experienced team from Wide Horizons – the Adventure Learning Charity.

Through adventurous activities, young people can learn how to cooperate with others, take responsibility for their own welfare and develop their confidence and determination in ways that they just can’t in school. This is your child’s chance to do something amazing this summer!

What’s included?

  • Experienced youth mentors to help look after and develop the young people

  • Return transport from your local area to our Wide Horizons outdoor centres

  • Lunch and refreshments

  • Activities and safety equipment

  • The option to borrow suitable clothing for each activity e.g. waterproofs and wellington boots

This programme is COMPLETELY FREE and young people who attend three or more days during the May half term will have the opportunity to attend a RESIDENTIAL ADVENTURE during the August and October holidays!

About us

Wide Horizons are experts in providing adventurous experiences to children and young people of all ages and abilities. We work with over 44,000 children and 330 schools every year helping to ensure that children and young people have the opportunity to experience adventure as part of their education and development. Through our nine adventure centres across England and Wales we deliver a range of activities for all age groups of children; from day centre nature experiences for primary school children, to adventurous activities for older children and young people.

We take Health and Safety seriously, and want you to have peace of mind whilst your child is with us. We maintain an outstanding level of professionalism by recognising that the welfare of each child and young person is paramount. All of our staff are highly-skilled and hold enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and first aiders will be on site at all times. We also operate a safeguarding child protection policy, details of which are available on request.
