Art - National Curriculum

The inspirational natural surrounding of the rural landscape offers a wonderful opportunity for pupils to explore the medium of visual communication.

The locality of the Centre offers possibilities to use both the natural and man made environments to stimulate creativity and imagination.  Our extensive woodland and meadow is a rich source for collage materials The local village church often allows pupils access to original historic brasses while materials, texture and shape can be explored by visiting the ancient gravestones in the village. Discovering contrasts in the architectural design and form of buildings is also possible within the village.

Music

Each summer the Centre hosts a residential workshop for young musicians from Greenwich. The musicians, together with their tutors, work towards producing a number of performance pieces.
Within the grounds of the Centre, there is a small music garden where pupils can explore and expand their natural musical talents.
