Close to each Centre, there is a series of ropes, tyres, balance beams, and other obstacles suspended at a low level off the ground. The aim of this activity is to travel around the course, negotiating the obstacleswithout touching the ground. |

Whether participants work in pairs, individually or in small teams, the Ropes Courses are problem solving activities requiring balance, communication and lots of co-operation.
Add to this a bucket full of water, and you have an activity which becomes a tremendous amount of fun! |

The course at Ty'n y Berth is suspended over a boggy woodland floor, and finishes with a swing over a muddy pool onto a tyre.
The Bryn Coedwig course, is over a well drained forest floor. It is possible for groups to undertake the course at the alternative centre. |

Both ropes courses are 1/2 day activities, and combine well with Mine Exploration or 1/2 day walks.
Ajacent to the course at Ty'n y Berth, is the SWAMP! This is a trail a trail folloing a rope through an area of boggy, watery woodland. Due to the dificulty moving through this depth of water, this activity is usually only approprite for secondary age pupils and above. |
