Ty'n y Berth Mountain Centres are two Outdoor Education Centres near Corris, between Machynlleth and Dolgellau, in
North Wales
. Situated on the southern edge of the
Snowdonia
National Park
, at the foot of Cadair Idris.

We provide high quality Outdoor Learning courses to Schools, Colleges and Youth groups. We also provide leadership training and development courses and MLTE training and assessment courses for teachers and youth leaders . Adventurous activities run from the Centres include rock climbing, mountain walking, abseiling, gorge scrambling, underground mine exploration (a bit like caving). We also have ropes courses, orienteering, team building and problem solving activities. |

Courses at TYB centre around personal development. Social and emotional learning are important parts of the residential outdoor courses which we provide. We also offer GCSE and A-level PE, DofE award and field studies courses. Ty'n y Berth is a licensed provider Outdoor and Adventurous Activities under the terms of the Adventurous Activities Licensing Act. (AALA) |
Each Centre can accommodate up to 30 students plus visiting staff. The Centres can be used as self catering facilities for groups wanting warm, comfortable bunkhouse style accommodation.
